Asian Wedding in Birmingham

All weddings are different, yet they are all the same. The celebration of the coming together of two  people and importantly - also of their families and friends. So in that way, Zain and Zainab’s wedding day was no different to any other…… except that it was. Everything was amplified - the friendship, love and joy, the colours and hilarity. In fact, this day was only part one of two. We covered the  Nikah - the formal ceremony and a relatively “modest” (100+ guests) reception with the food, cake, sweets and presents. This was held at the Bride’s father’s house and in a large marquee in the garden. The Walema - the big blowout, will happen sometime next year. In the meantime, it was such  a fun  day and I got to  meet some lovely people and tuck into some delicious Indian food to  boot. More please…..
