Jake and Rhians great big celebration - St. Georges Hall and Wirral Tipi
Whilst it cannot be denied that photographing a wedding is hard work, it is also immensely enjoyable – a joyful experience in fact so it really doesn’t feel like you are working. Although the photographer is a “hired hand” we feel part of the celebration, experiencing the emotions and highlights of the day despite having to maintain some detachment to do our job. So it was for Jake and Rhian, a lovely committed couple from the Wirral. We really loved working with them! We had kept in regular contact from the time of booking to keep abreast of developments and had an extra meeting on site just prior to their wedding day, mostly to sort out logistics travelling between their reception venue on the Wirral and St. George’s Hall in the centre of Liverpool. Oh by the way this is typical of our high commitment to customer service!
The day started in pouring rain but by the afternoon there was sunshine and warmth - well in time for the reception which was held in a beautiful Tipi in Saughall Massie, tastefully decorated with items and icons of importance to the couple. A full summer outdoor wedding with weather to match.
And what a great party it was! Non-stop and full of happiness and positive energy. We very much felt part of this and it was great fun capturing the day for the happy couple and their guests. Just a shout out to a couple of suppliers – Steve from Amore Events for the music and lights and to The Distillery Box for providing some of the best liquid refreshment humanity has to offer.
